Why Product Consulting? Why Now?

Over the past 2 decades, I have saved several companies from spending hundreds of thousands on technology they did not need. I have helped product teams cut cycle times in half. I have turned failing product transformations into successful execution in a matter of days. I consistently find solutions no one else is looking for that provide huge wins, like giving several days of time back to executives. And so much more.
Even inside the companies I worked at, I witnessed the same patterns. Leaders pushing orders instead of challenging assumptions. Top performers promoted into product roles without proper training, creating anything but value and focus. Teams developing solutions no one can or will use, or even worse, not being able to deliver because of conflicting priorities and constant change. So much confusion. So many excuses. So much time and money wasted.
Why product consulting?
Far too many organizations are making high stakes product and technology decisions without clarity, without alignment, and without someone who will challenge them when it matters.
From within, one can only push so far. There are always rules, politics, and systems that box teams into decisions that do not serve the business. Too many people shrug and say, “That is just how it is everywhere.”
But there is a better way. And that is why I am stepping out of the employee role and into consulting. I want to help build a new landscape and set a higher standard. One where every investment reaches its fullest potential.
Why now?
The more appropriate question… why have I waited so long? “Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex. It takes a touch of genius..and a lot of courage..to move in the opposite direction.” ~ E.F. Schumacher
